We are thrilled to announce the implementation of Dividend Adjustments on Spot Indices, as outlined in point 6.7 ("Adjustments for Dividends and Other Corporate Actions") of the Product Disclosure Statement (Link), effective December 16, 2024.

This feature allows traders to earn dividend income by holding long positions in select spot indices. Now, traders can benefit from dividend payouts linked to the underlying companies in the index, inserting an additional income stream into their trading strategy. This new feature allows you to capitalize on market movements and enjoy the financial rewards of dividend distributions, enhancing the potential for long-term returns.

Dividend Adjustments on Spot Indices

When you hold a long position in a spot index eligible for dividends, you will receive a dividend adjustment credited to your trading account. This adjustment is based on the dividend amount paid by the underlying companies within the index, along with the number of contracts you hold. Please note that you will only receive the dividend amount, less the withholding tax amount, and INGOT Brokers fees (the withholding tax amount will be calculated per the applicable relevant laws and regulations).

For traders holding short positions in eligible spot indices, a dividend adjustment will be deducted from your account. As with long positions, the deduction is calculated according to the dividend amount and the number of contracts held. Please note that we will deduct the dividend amount, the withholding tax amount, and INGOT Brokers fees (the withholding tax amount will be calculated per the applicable relevant laws and regulations).
